Cookie policy

How this website uses cookies, and the more important point for a security reviewer: a DocxIntel deployment running inside your own infrastructure sets no marketing cookies and sends no usage data back to BizfyLabs.

Last updated 5 September 2026. This policy is provided for information and covers the docxintel.com website only. Where you hold a signed licence agreement, order form or data processing addendum with BizfyLabs FZC LLC, that executed document governs the deployment relationship and prevails over this page. Nothing here is legal advice; please take your own advice on how it applies to you.

1.What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and send back on later requests. It lets a site recognise the same browser across pages and visits. Related technologies do similar jobs by different means: local storage and session storage keep values in the browser itself, and a pixel or script tag can record that a page was loaded. Where this policy says "cookies", it means all of them.

Cookies are described by who sets them and how long they last. A first-party cookie is set by the site you are visiting; a third-party cookie is set by another domain whose content the page loads. A session cookie is deleted when you close the browser; a persistent cookie survives until it expires or you delete it.

This policy explains the categories used on the DocxIntel website at docxintel.com, which is operated by BizfyLabs FZC LLC. It forms part of the privacy policy at docxintel.com/privacy-policy, which explains the lawful bases we rely on and the rights you can exercise.

2.This policy covers the public website, not your deployment

This is the distinction that matters most, and it is easy to miss on a vendor cookie page. DocxIntel is licensed software installed inside your own infrastructure. The deployed product and this marketing website are separate things, and this policy describes only the website.

  • A DocxIntel deployment sets no advertising or marketing cookies, and carries no analytics, tag manager or tracking pixel.
  • A deployment sends no usage data, telemetry or beacon back to BizfyLabs. There is no phone-home channel, which is what allows the software to run fully air-gapped.
  • Any cookie set by a deployed instance is a first-party, strictly necessary cookie that holds an authenticated session or a CSRF token for one of your own internal users, under your own configuration.
  • Your end users are never profiled by us through your deployment, because we have no visibility into it at all.
  • Nothing you do on this website affects a deployment, and nothing that happens in a deployment is visible on this website.

If your security review asks what a DocxIntel installation transmits externally, the answer is nothing. This page is about docxintel.com only.

3.Categories of cookies we use

We use a deliberately small set. The categories below describe what each group does and why. We do not publish a table of individual cookie names and vendors, because that table goes stale the moment a provider changes an implementation and a stale table is worse than an honest description of purpose.

Strictly necessary
Required for the site to work and to stay secure. They support page delivery and caching, keep form submissions attached to the right request, protect against cross-site request forgery, apply rate limiting and abuse protection, and remember your cookie choices so you are not asked again. These are set on a first-party basis and cannot be switched off without breaking the site, so they do not require consent.
Preferences
Remember choices you have made so the site behaves consistently on your next visit — for example a display or language preference, or the fact that you have dismissed a notice. They hold no identifier used for advertising. If you decline them the site still works; it simply forgets your choices between visits.
Analytics
Help us understand in aggregate which pages are read, how visitors arrive and where a page fails to answer the question it was written for. We configure analytics to minimise what is collected: IP addresses are truncated or anonymised where the provider supports it, we do not use cross-site advertising identifiers, and we do not build individual profiles. These are used only where you have agreed to them, and you can withdraw that agreement at any time.
Advertising and cross-site tracking
Not used. We do not run behavioural advertising on this site, we do not sell or share data with an advertising network, and we do not place third-party cookies for the purpose of tracking you across other websites.

Where a cookie is set by a third party providing infrastructure, content delivery or analytics on our behalf, that provider acts under a written contract and only for the purposes we set. The categories of provider we use are listed in the privacy policy, and the current list applicable to a specific service is available on request through the contact page at https://bizfylabs.com/contact-us.

4.How long cookies last

Lifetimes are set to the shortest period that still serves the purpose. Exact durations vary by cookie and can change when a provider updates its implementation, so the ranges below describe our intent rather than a fixed guarantee.

  • Session cookies, including security tokens: deleted when you close your browser.
  • Short-lived operational cookies, such as rate limiting and abuse protection: typically minutes to hours.
  • Preference cookies, including your cookie choices: typically up to 12 months, so that we do not ask you the same question every week.
  • Analytics cookies: typically up to 13 months, after which the identifier expires and a returning visitor is counted as new.

You can shorten any of these at any time by clearing cookies in your browser, which deletes them immediately regardless of the expiry we set.

5.Managing and disabling cookies

You are in control. Where we ask for consent to a non-essential category, you can decline it or change your mind later, and you can also manage cookies directly in your browser, which overrides anything a website asks for.

  • Every current browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them individually or in bulk, block third-party cookies, and block all cookies for a specific site. The controls sit under privacy or site settings.
  • Blocking all cookies for docxintel.com will break parts of the site, because the strictly necessary category includes security tokens.
  • Private or incognito browsing discards cookies when the window closes, which is a simple way to visit without leaving anything behind.
  • Deleting cookies also deletes the record of your cookie choices, so you will be asked again on your next visit.
  • A browser extension or a network-level blocker will also prevent analytics scripts from loading. We do not attempt to detect or work around blockers.
  • Cookie settings are per browser and per device, so a change on your laptop does not apply to your phone.

If you would prefer not to be counted in aggregate analytics at all, declining the analytics category or blocking the script achieves that. Nothing on this site requires an account, so you can read all of it without identifying yourself.

6.Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Do Not Track is a browser header that asks sites not to track the visitor. No common standard for interpreting it was ever agreed, and most browsers have removed the setting, so we do not claim to act on it. We would rather say that plainly than publish a promise we cannot verify.

The practical position is better than the standard: because we run no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, there is no behavioural tracking on this site for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. Where your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent to the analytics category.

7.Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the cookies on the site change, when a provider changes, or when the applicable law changes. The date at the top of the page always reflects the current version.

If we ever introduce a category that requires consent where none was previously needed, we will ask for that consent before setting it rather than relying on a quiet update to this page.

8.Contact

BizfyLabs FZC LLC operates this website from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is the controller for the personal data collected through the cookies described above. Questions about this policy, and requests to exercise a data protection right, should be sent through the contact page at https://bizfylabs.com/contact-us.

For the wider picture — what personal data we collect, the lawful bases, retention periods, international transfers and your rights under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and the GDPR — see the privacy policy at docxintel.com/privacy-policy.

Asking what a deployment transmits externally?

The answer is nothing. No telemetry, no beacon, no analytics inside the product — which is what makes a fully air-gapped install behave identically to a connected one. We are happy to walk your security team through it.
